Interview with Malc from Shmups in Retro Gamer #54. The website directory on the sidebars is hilarious. (Edit: Actually, if they removed racketboy it wouldn't be that bad.)

| The parts where they (Edge) talk about M2 and Moss are especially awesome. I guess none of their readers can tell how amusingly invented they are, so hey. |

I actually sat down and read all of it yesterday, and it's pretty damn well-written. No complaints there at all. Still, that is only a detail. The main thing is that the text is 80% fluff and 20% substance (which substance has most definitely been lifted off of Shmups.com and CAVE-STG, as at least one of the writers confesses that he hasn't played a shooter in a couple of years, so there's no way he could know all the stuff he is relating), as well as full of inaccuracies and blatant mistakes. In one point he says that some Cave games have received WESTERN PORTS in the past. lol, etc.
I might sit down at some point and list all of his mistakes. Then we can see what's left of substance after the mistakes and the fluff have been removed. Or hey, STG fans reading this could do this for homework. |
